My favorite Christmas Recipes

We have already shown you how to dress your holiday table. Now it’s time for the star …the food! So much of the joy and nostalgia of winter involves food. Whether it is Christmas cut-outs, a traditional holiday meal, candy-making, or hot chocolate after sledding, each one of you has a special Christmas memory attached to food. That is why we compiled some of our own holiday favorites to share with you. Maybe you are a young family just establishing your own traditions and need a cookie and hot cocoa recipe. Or maybe you’re just in the mood for a cozy and festive drink; either way, we’ve got you covered! Of course, we had to throw in a few S. Flynn Home pieces as an added bonus.

Fill up one of our brand new Hobnail Mugs and top with dollops of whipped cream and shaved chocolate.

And let’s not forget these gorgeous cookies made by our very own, Liz and Erin. Their Christmas cut-outs are a holiday staple here at S. Flynn, and they were so kind to share their family recipe with you all this year. We displayed them on one of our Umbra Dinner Plates.

Let’s switch gears and go a little more “cozy adult gathering,” featuring our simple charcuterie board and Sparkling Christmas Party Punch. If you’re looking for a festive holiday drink, this is it. And it is SO good. It is citrusy and tart yet warm from the addition of cinnamon sticks and it looks pretty darn good with that cinnamon sugar rim in our Seagrass Glasses. (We omitted the St. Germain elderflower liqueur as it was hard to find in our area due to shipping issues and it still turned out lovely.)

Our Seagrass Pitcher and Glasses are the perfect vessels for this pretty holiday punch.

Use our Wooden Cutting Board as a base for your simple charcuterie platter. We also used our gold Olive Spoon, which would make a unique Christmas gift for the charcuterie lover in your life, and one of our Marble Stacking Pinch Pots.

We have put together some pretty elaborate meat and cheese boards, however, those can get expensive. Keep it simple with a good hard salami, a hunk of Parmesan, olives, and a few fancy crackers or pretzels. The addition of a sprig of rosemary will make it look extra festive at holiday time. Maybe set a small platter at each place setting if you’re hosting an intimate dinner party and allow guests to take the board with them as a memento.

‘Tis the season to make some holiday memories around the dinner table or by the fire. We hope you feel inspired to try one of our recipes or to pull out the old recipe box and cookbooks and find a special one of your own from your past. Take time to savor the smells and tastes of the winter season.
