Bathroom Redo

We’re excited to get back into the renovations with this master bathroom remodel.

This home was built in the 1990s and the master bathroom no longer functioned well for the homeowners. Their requests for this project included: removing the whirlpool tub to make room for a shower, adding a double sink vanity, increasing storage, and updating all finishes. The home features honey oak and cherry trim, so we kept that warm element in mind as we made our bathroom selections.

While the husband’s taste leans more rustic, the wife’s style is contemporary. It was important for us to blend the two in this shared space. The stone flooring in the new shower is a nod to nature for him and the cool vanity with the integrated pulls and arched mirror lend themselves more to her taste. You’ll see warmth repeated here in the veining of the marble floors and quartz countertops as well as in the shower tile and the wood tone of the vanity. By adding warm elements like these, we were able to tie in the wood trim throughout the rest of the house. This allows the old and the new spaces to feel cohesive.
