When Mavin approached us to reimagine their employee break space, we saw an opportunity to create more than just a room for lunch breaks. We wanted to deliver a space that inspires and recharges the people who work there every day.
From Basic to Beautiful
Before the remodel, the break area was purely utilitarian—functional, but lacking personality or warmth. Our goal was to transform it into a welcoming hub where employees could truly relax, collaborate informally, and feel valued. We took a full-scale approach, reworking the layout, finishes, lighting, and furnishings to create a completely refreshed environment.
Design that Works as Hard as the Team
The new break space features a mix of seating options—from café-style tables for quick bites to comfortable lounge areas for casual conversations. Durable yet stylish materials were chosen to stand up to daily use while maintaining a modern, inviting feel. The color palette blends calming neutrals with energizing accents, striking a balance between relaxation and inspiration.
Details that Make the Difference
Thoughtful lighting was a major priority—soft, warm tones replace harsh overhead glare, making the room feel cozy at any time of day. A well-planned kitchenette area gives employees everything they need to prep and enjoy meals, while smart storage keeps the space clutter-free.
Upgrading the Conference Room
In addition to the break space, we also reimagined Mavin’s conference room to better support collaboration and productivity. The redesign introduced a larger, more functional meeting table, improved acoustic elements for clearer communication, and integrated technology for seamless presentations and virtual meetings. Updated finishes and lighting bring a fresh, professional feel, making the space equally suited for brainstorming sessions, client meetings, or team celebrations.
